Prayers for Peaceful Resolve in Ukraine

We join George in praying for the people of the Ukraine and Russia as tensions continue to rise, troops assemble, and the threat of war increases.  

God of all peoples, we pray for your Holy Spirit to lead us in the way of peace.  As fears, threats of violence and destruction grow on the borders of the Ukraine, we ask for your protection, guidance, hope, and peace to prevail.  Grant that all lives may be treasured and that peaceful resolutions may prevail wherever they are possible.  Open our hearts to the needs of our neighbors in need and inspire us to do what we can to support one another, work for healing, and follow in Jesus' path of resurrection and new life.
