Our partners at Hands, Hearts, and Homes Outreach (H3O) are once again hosting a benefit Golf Outing on Friday, June 4 at Fowler's Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, OH. The golf outing provides much needed financial support for the ministry of H3O to the poor in Cleveland. Each month this ALL VOLUNTEER organization provides much needed food, clothing, personal care items, household items, furnishings, and more to those living with poverty in our community.
Those of you who golf, please do your best to roundup a foursome (or two) to play in the outing with you this year on June 4. Your $105 entry fee covers golf, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and raffle prizes. A silent auction is also held along with the event to benefit the ministry. Don't miss out on this wonderful day on a beautiful course supporting a fantastic cause. Golfers may register today at HandsHeartsHomes.org Don't golf? No problem. Many volunteers are needed in a variety of roles throughout the day to make this day a smashing success. Please contact Jean Fell if you are interested in volunteering with the event.

These long months dealing with the pandemic have certainly been difficult. We hope to be together again as soon as possible, but in the meantime it is so important to stay connected to one another in whatever ways we can. One simple thing we can do is share photos with one another. Seeing the faces of our community is essential and helps spread joy. We're featuring the many people of Advent in our worship opening each week, and we need your photo to be part of the mix. Send us a selfie or photo of your family and we'll include it in one of our upcoming services. Thanks for your help!

We're making plans for Journey to Bethlehem a drive-thru experience. The event will feature brief character dramas at four stations featuring scenes from the Christmas story and a visit from Santa. We need your help to make it happen. We're looking for donations of the following items:
We need your help in planning for this year's Christmas worship schedule. We are anticipating the need for more service times this season so that we can maintain social distancing and provide opportunity for all who would like to attend a service in person to do so. We will be live streaming one or more of the service times as well for those who are not able or do not feel comfortable worshiping indoors yet. Please share your thoughts with us on the type of service and time of service you are most likely to attend this Christmas.
Advent has a long standing partnership with H3O (Hands, Hearts, and Homes Outreach). H3O provides donated furniture, clothing, bedding, kitchen and household supplies, as well as personal care items that are distributed to those in need.
During this pandemic, a lot of the work of H3O has been on hold or greatly reduced. While the furniture and housewares remains on hold, H3O is planning to resume distribution of personal care kits again at St. Herman's on Sunday, October 25. We invite you to support this effort by donating items that are in greatest need for those kits. The items listed below are in order of need. Please drop them off weekday afternoons in the entrance area at Advent or on Sunday morning if you are attending the indoor or outdoor service.
Join us on Zoom (Meeting ID: 869 5609 3860) or register to attend in person for this year's Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30 pm. We will be reviewing the past fiscal year and approving a budget for the new year.
We had a beautiful morning to serve our neighbors and an even more wonderful time serving alongside our brothers and sisters from Resurrection Catholic Parish. Thanks to all who participated and lifted us up in prayer! Click the image below to see all the photos!
