Jerry and Linda Crail Dideon have been members of Advent since 1969. They live in a sprawling century home in Aurora, and spend many summer weekends at their cottage on Middle Bass. They have two adult children: Eric, living in Willoughby and married to Madaline and father to Cole, 13, Evelyn, 9, and Charlie, 5; and Kristen, who lives in Aurora and works as an accountant.
Linda is a local lady, graduating from Maple Heights and Tri-C; Jerry graduated from Bellevue Ohio and attended Kent State. They met in a tavern at Kent State and married July 27, 1968 at St. John’s Lutheran, Bellevue. Jerry has worked for Graybar Electric for 14 years as a Lighting Business Development Manager, and Linda currently works for Brahmin hand bags. Jerry loves golf, baseball, plays on the church softball team, and boating. Linda loves boating and helping with the grandchildren. Both have gotten more involved with the Autism Speaks charity. And both have done just about everything there has ever needed to be done at Advent: from church council and committees, Sunday School, altar guild, choir for Jerry, nursery for Linda, etc. etc. They love the church, where all of their friends are. Larry and Kathy Ciganek joined Advent in the fall 2017, transferring in from Church of the Master in Bedford. They live in Walton Hills and have two adult sons, Michael and James.
Larry is a retired patternmaker for metal castings, and Kathy is retired from directing activities in nursing homes. Larry graduated from Central High in West Allis WI, and then Milwaukee Technical College. Kathy graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee WI, and college in Freeport IL. How did you meet? Cruising around in a convertible! Wow! They married at the justice of the peace’s office in Waukegan, IL. January 22, 1964. Larry’s passions include restoring old cars and yard work. Kathy is more of a reader of fiction. Right now they are leading a quiet life, and really miss being able to attend Advent. |
